Troytown Campsite

In a stunning location, on the waters edge of the remote island of St Agnes, Troytown Campsite enjoys incredible panoramic views across the Atlantic, taking in the Bishop Rock Lighthouse, the rugged western rocks and the uninhabited island of Annet.

Wake up to the sound of the sea, spend your day relaxing by the clear water and white sands of the campsites own beach, then after dining alfresco, watch the sunset from your tent and count shooting stars in the night sky.

At peak times the campsite is the perfect family site, visited by the same families year after year, for the fabulous views, sandy beach and the safe, traffic-free, natural environment. Outside of the school summer holidays, the campsite is the perfect retreat, with peace and quiet and beautiful scenery in abundance.

The campsite facilities are contained within a traditional granite building and comprise:

* Toilets

* Washing up facilities

* Shaver points

* Hair dryers

* Secure lockers with power points for charging phones, laptops, MP3s etc...

* Handbasins (hot and cold water)

* Hot showers (token operated)

* Baby changing table

* Washing machine (3 x £1 coins)

* Tumble dryer (50p coins)

* Ironing facilities

St Agnes and the adjoining island of Gugh are beautiful and unspoilt, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The island of St Agnes is only one mile across so the many carns and coves can be explored on foot. A great pub, cafe and shop are only a short walk away.

NEW for 2011 : Have a truly carefree camping holiday in one of our pre-erected and fully equipped bell tents.

Troytown has rentable canvas bell tents equipped with comfortable air-beds, camping stove, coolbox, table and chairs, cookware, tableware and even holiday essentials such as buckets and spades for the kids.

During the sumer months it is essential to book a pitch in advance, please check first for availability. Also please visit the 'rates' and 'travel' pages for further information. If you are new to the camping or the islands, please see our FAQs for advice on making the most of your holiday. Outside of peak times, you are welcome to arrive at short notice. Larger parties can be accomodated in a separate field, but need to be booked in advance. We welcome school groups, social groups and kayaking or diving clubs etc...

It is possible for us to collect trailers or trailer tents and transport them across the island. If you wish to bring a trailer, please check dates with the Steamship Company before confirming your holiday dates at Troytown.

Dogs are permitted on the campsite, but during the school summer holidays we have a strict limit of one dog per party. We also have a limit on the number of dogs on the site at any one time, so it is essential to arrange this with us prior to your arrival. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead on the site and around the farm and they cause no nuisance by barking or fouling.
